Increase performance by organizing your hard-drive for free

Last time Nick reviewed Auslogics Disk Defrag, he was impressed by its speed and ease of use. Well, a new version of the defragmentation tool is now out, but will it be a change for the better?

Happily, the answer is yes. The updated version of Auslogics Disk Defrag is similarly fast and easy to use but boasts an improved interface and a range of other features that make the tool a pleasure to use. Auslogics Disk Defrag's graphical representation of the defrag process makes things much easier to follow and just a little more interesting. Defrags are still fast and smooth, and the process doesn't take too much of a toll on your system resources.

Even beginners will be more than capable of using Auslogics Disk Defrag, especially since the interface is now clearer than ever. Those who want a little more control over their computer will find plenty of Settings, where configuration options run from scheduling defrags to examining process reports. Auslogics Disk Defrag allows you to defrag both drives and individual files and folders and integrates into the context (right-click) menu for really easy access. There are also plenty of options for setting defrag priority and balancing resources. This, coupled with Auslogics Disk Defrag's speedy scanning, means that the pain of Windows' in-built defragmentation tool will be nothing but a distant memory.

Auslogics Disk Defrag - a great tool for beginners and intermediate users. In case you are looking for other free alternatives, we recommend you to download Smart Defrag or Defraggler.

Great Defrager. Having just loaded Auslogics and used it for the first time I'm very impressed,I like it better than the Windows defrag.

Fastest Defragger Around. Auslogics Disk Defrag might not be the most powerful defragger around but it is the quickest. U never had it take more than 5 minutes on quick and 10 minutes on maximum. It's also very simple and and easy to use.The downside is it's not gonna defrag your computer as well as other alternatives. Your sacrificing power for speed in this case. Overall if you want a defragger that is fast and you can use for everyday use then Auslogics Disk Defrag is very good tool for you. Just remember to get a more powerful one you can use once a week as well like SmartDefrag. Pros: Very FastEasy To UseEye PleasingCan Be Used For Daily Use Cons: Now As Powerful As AlternativesYou Will Still Need A Defragger For Weekly Defraggings

In Softonic we scan all the files hosted on our platform to assess and avoid any potential harm for your device. Our team performs checks each time a new file is uploaded and periodically reviews files to confirm or update their status. This comprehensive process allows us to set a status for any downloadable file as follows:

Clean

It’s extremely likely that this software program is clean.

What does this mean?

We have scanned the file and URLs associated with this software program in more than 50 of the world's leading antivirus services; no possible threat has been detected.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.

We’d like to highlight that from time to time, we may miss a potentially malicious software program. To continue promising you a malware-free catalog of programs and apps, our team has integrated a Report Software feature in every catalog page that loops your feedback back to us.
